"If this is how you get off, I might need a bigger dowry." Jack laughed, looking around for the parts that the Doctor had specified. "Yeah, I see them!" He hurried over to the valve, noticing the piece on the floor. Everything stung, making it difficult to touch anything without getting burned. He could feel the radiation attacking his cells, but just as easily, he felt them repairing and staving off the damage as well.

Jack pulled the piece from the ground, hissing and dropping it the first couple of times before he steeled himself to pick up the metal piece. He hurried back to the broken valve, and using the tools that had clearly been abandoned on the floor, got to work replacing it.
