"I'm not saying I want you to be a heartless prick, I'm just saying that you are a heartless prick half the time," John snapped because he didn't care to overthink these things, he just wanted to put them out there. He was sad and hurting, could anyone blame him for lashing out? The man he had a thing for seemed to think he was nothing but a bad influence. Not really a glowing compliment he was wanting, if he was honest. Things were so much easier before Jack got himself a team and friends, back when it was all fucking, fighting and working.

"Oh God, yeah, how could I not be influenced by your inconsistent and ever changing responses to me," John rolled his eyes, slumping back against the shower wall, defiant as ever at Jack's words. "You're right. I had fun and I still have fun. I was doing perfectly fine till you showed up and started fucking around in my life. You don't like how I live? Fine. That's you're problem, it's not mine. I was happy."

And truth be told, he wasn't very happy right now. Which was odd, really, he was often very happy when naked. What a killjoy Jack was.
